New Jacket for Miss Ella

Another UFO out of the bag and finished!! I bought the pattern for this darling jacket last June at the Tulsa quilt show. It is made from a sweatshirt. I bought a size 2 but it still fits Miss Ella. I used ladybug fabric and a ladybug embroidery design to complete the project. It went together quickly and the instructions were good.

Here is the cute ladybug that I embroidered on it. It came from JuJu designs. Her designs always stitch out great.

I just love these labels. A constant reminder that Nana loves her.

Check out the cute ladybug button too!!

Such a joy to get to sew for this cute little bug!!

Another UFO completed.... YES!!

Baby Dolls and Birthdays

Happy Birthday Miss Ella!!

Where does the time go? We've all said it....but it is oh so true when you have the priviledge of watching a precious child grow up right before your eyes.

Thank you Sweet Lord for allowing us to have this precious child in our family for awhile. We know she belongs to you and that you love her even more than we do. Help us to teach Ella your ways so that she will grow strong in your love and her love for You will grow strong in her life. May you be the beacon that guides her from here to eternity!!

Three years old!! Wooooo Hoooo!! A magical time of asserting independence, loving life's wonders and being loved by the most important people in your life...Mommy and Daddy. Yes, Miss Ella is blessed beyond her wildest imagination!!! Don't you love her "Dorothy" shoes?.....There's no place like home.

So what did I make for this special girl on her special day????

The answer is her very own, made with love, Raggedy Ann. Now this Annie has been updated with chevron legs in bright colors and HOT pink hair!!! She was fun to make but I think she may be one of a kind!!

This project was a joint effort. Way back in Sept I spent a wonderful day sewing with my friend, Mary Margaret. We started Annie that day. Her face and heart were done on the embroidery machine. Isn't she perfect? I put her away after that day unfinished ... thus another UFO that I have resurected and completed!! YAY!!!

I sewed this label on her bummie so Ella will always know that Nana loves her.

Thanks Debby for buying these adorable labels for me to use on very special projects!!

Miss Ella enjoy your special day!!

Miss Annie - 2015

I am wondering what name Miss Ella will give to her new doll? I will let you know!!

Baby Girl Quilt for Marietta

More Projects Finished:

I started 2015 with the goal of "finishing" as many UFO's as I could possibly stand without getting distracted. This baby girl quilt top was in one of those "unfinished" bags. Now it is completed and has been sent to it's new owner who lives in Denver. Her mama is happy to have another warm quilt to wrap up this little bundle of joy.

The quilting was a daisy chain in the green floral fabrics and some echoing in the triangles in the pinwheels.

This is one of my favorite new patterns. Three one yard fabrics (plus backing) and you have an awesome quilt. Don't you agree?

Doing pretty good at getting labels on all quilts before they go out the door. I think that was a 2014 goal.

I just love embroidering the name of each precious little one on their "own" quilt.

On to the next "grab bag"......this is fun!!
