New Year 2013

Both Riley and I are warm and snuggly under my electric blanket as I write the first blog of 2013. This is a time of new starts and beginnings, getting recharged and motivated and setting goals.......which we all try to keep the best we can....RIGHT???? RIGHT!!!

Four Things I want to Accomplish in January 2013

1. Put the borders on the "Holy Toledo" and quilt it.

2. Make two baby boy quilts ( Boys were born in Sept and Nov)

3. Section One of "Comfort and Joy" quilt completed

4 Work on designing quilt for my Dresden plate blocks

Today while I was working on packing my Christmas decorations away I stopped to take a few pics of my Snowman Table Topper. I actually finished it Fall 2011 but since we were not at home for the month of Dec last year I didn't get to use it. This was my first season to be able to display it on my dining room table. . I don't do a lot of "real" appliqué so this was a real stretch for me. I am so proud of it. It is a Kim Diehl design from Simple Seasons.

What do you think?

Bye-Bye for this year Mr Snowman!!! See you at the end of 2013 when I have all my "To Do Lists" that I am making now....DONE!!! .... I hope!

Tomorrow I am going to introduce how I will be using some of those cookbooks I have collected in the upcoming year. Please come back and see what kind of fun we are going to have together.

Happy Trails,

Mtn Mama

  1. I love your snowman quilt! I think he could stay out during the snowy months, too. That's a lot of work for just one month of the year show-off. =) Your list of January projects looks very reasonable. Good luck with it!
