Sunday Mediatation

My good friend, Debby, was the first to bring this scripture to me several years ago when things began getting harder and harder with Jeffrey's health. I realized that no matter what happened God would get me through to the other side as long as I sought His face and trusted Him.   I have clung to this verse ever since then when life got hard or when things didn't seem to make sense to me.  This week I believe God brought our family through another situation with His divine wisdom and perfect timing..  Kristy interviewed and was given a spot here in Tulsa in the Internal Medicine Dept of OSU to further her training as a resident. She will move from OKC and start as a PGY II.   They are going to credit her for 6 months of the time she has done in her transitional internship this year.  What a blessing!!  Timing is everything!!!  God's timing is always perfect even when we don't see it that way at first.  Kristy will be back in Tulsa, July, the same month her sister, Jenny and family return to start their lives after finishing Jon's postgraduate training.  They have been gone six years and I survived even though when they left I didn't think I would make it.  We have not all lived in Tulsa together since Jenny left for OU in 2002.  It is answered prayer.  At a time when I need them most they are coming home and will be living close to me.  It is almost too good to be true.  We serve a GREAT GOD, full of wisdom and grace!!

Thank you Lord for seeing the whole picture even when we do not!  Thank you for carrying us when we doubt and getting us there in spite of ourselves!!  You are a God of intense love, grace and compassion!!  May we be used in this world as you intended!        AMEN

Sunday Stash Report - Week 7

This week I worked on turning an applique block I made about 9 years ago into a pillow.

The pillow found its home in my antique rocker in the guest room!  Perfect fit!!

Total Yards Used this Week:  1 yard

Added this Week: 0 yards

Used year to Date:  46 1/2 yards

Added Year to Date: 9 yards

Net Stash Decrease for 2013: 37 1/2 yards

I also put some time in this week on my Santa cross stitch.  I had not touched it since the beginning of Jan.
Hope to work on it more this week.  I am also making the six Dresden plate blocks I need to finish my quilt top.  Lots of hand work going on around here.

Miss Jenny and Ella will be here for another week so we will have lots of things to do with them.  Sewing may take a back seat again.  That works for me.  Enjoy your week doing the things you do the best for yourself and for others.

Happy Trails,

Mtn Mama
